The venue for the 34th MSIT Wworshop is Schloß Ringberg in the beautiful Bavarian Alps, the spiritual home of the MSIT.

Accommodation is available for participants at the venue of Schloß Ringberg.

Room reservations will be made by the organisers on behalf of the participants.
Accommodation and meals fee should be paid at the castle, directly with the castle administration.

 

 

How to get there

 

By plane

Nearest airport is Munich Airport (MUC)

From the airport continue to the Munich main train station and take a train to Tegernsee (see below).

By train

To main train station Munich by Deutsche Bahn - continue from the main train station to Lake Tegernsee by using the regional train (BOB): distance 59 km (final station), approx. 1 hrs journey - for details pls. see time table (Bayerische Oberlandbahn BOB).

Continue by shuttle service

MSI shuttle buses to the castle will be waiting at Tegernsee railway station for 2 trains arriving on 16 February 2020 from Munich at 16:09 and 17:09.  

Continue by taxi

If you miss the shuttle bus, we recommend that you take a taxi from the train station towards the castle Taxi Kaufmann phone +49 (0)8022 / 5555.


By Car

Take the Munich-Salzburg motorway A8 (E45) on Highway 97 Brunnthal exit Holzkirchen. Continue on the B318 to Gmund am Tegernsee. Turn towards Bad Wiessee Gmund and proceed until traffic lights after the sign 'Weißach'. Here, turn right onto Highway B307 towards Achensee. After about 1 km, take the federal highway B307 shortly after the end of the village Reitrain and keep right again to continue straight ahead for about 100 meters, then turn right on to the marked drive way at the forest's outskirts (1.8 km gravel road with 9% ascending slope) towards Castle Ringberg.

During winter it is highly recommended the use of mandatory winter tyres or even winter chains as sudden changes in the weather may result in the deposit of an enormous amount of fresh snow in a short period of time.
