Vitaliy Romaka is a solid-state chemist with expertise in synthesis, experimental characterization, and DFT/ML study of intermetallic compounds, particularly thermoelectric materials, and frustrated magnets.
After a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Vitaliy has continued his scientific career at the University of Vienna in the research group of Prof. Rogl. After successful habilitation in materials science at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv), he continued his research activities at Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden, Germany.
