MSIT Winter School

MSIT Winter Schools comprise lectures given by the MSIT members and invited experts on Phase diagrams, Classical and Computational Thermodynamics, and Crystallography and related applicational topics.

Dr. Liya Dreval

Dr. Liya Dreval is a metallurgist and materials scientist with expertise in thermodynamics and materials constitution. The main fields of interest are experimental thermodynamics, phase equilibria, phase diagrams, crystallography, critical evaluation of these data and computation of the phase relations.

With a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the Taras Shevchenko Kiev National University (Ukraine), Liya Dreval is engaged for over 10 years at teaching and sharing her experience with students and other scientists at Donbass State Engineering Academy (Ukraine), TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Germany), Central South University (China). Since 2015, she joined the German company MSI – Materials Science International Services GmbH – a research & publishing institution in the field of materials science. Liya Dreval is editor/co-editor of several volumes of the handbooks on critical evaluations of materials constitution data, e.g. Ternary Alloys, and critical evaluations for MSI Eureka.
